Nashville, TN (August 9, 2016) Family Music Group artist Jason Davidson just released his new album, He Came Searching For Me, last month. In honor of this great accomplishment, Mayor Greg McGarrity of Jason’s hometown, Sebastopol, Mississippi has issued a proclamation declaring July 25 as “Jason Davidson Day.” Mayor McGarrity says of Jason, ”I knew the first time I heard him sing at a Jr./Sr. Banquet in high school that God had blessed him with a special gift. We have all known for a long time that Jason possessed what was needed to make such an album that can make an impact on people all across the country. I just want him to know how very proud the people of Sebastopol and myself are of Jason."
This exciting news was shared with Jason at an album release party, hosted by Butler Music Group, on July 25. Over 60 of Southern Gospel’s industry professionals and VIP’s, including Duane Allen of the Oak Ridge Boys, Marty Funderburk, Rick Shelton of Daywind, Jerry Salley, as well as some of Jason’s close friends and family came together on Monday night to celebrate Jason’s new project and share in the excitement of this season. Jason was completely surprised by the announcement and couldn’t be more grateful for his hometown’s support.
